In some ways it seems as if time has stood still in Smithfield, Virginia. Known as the Ham Capital of the World and nestled along the Pagan River, Smithfield is just a half hour’s drive from both Norfolk and the Virginia Peninsula. The Town’s remarkable National Historic District and the adjacent Windsor Castle Park encompass more than 500 acres and feature almost 300 contributing buildings from 1730 through the early 20th century. The downtown area offers unique independently-owned shops, galleries, restaurants and historic inns.
What better way to celebrate the season than to join us for our 2016 Christmas in Smithfield event, featuring an Antiques Show, Wassail Event at the 1750 Isle of Wight Courthouse and tours of six of the town’s beautiful historic homes.
