Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with celtic band Handsome Molly as they play the traditional raucous tunes and share the great ‘craic’ enjoyed by Irish communities in America and abroad on this special day. The band will be performing at the Hennage Auditorium. Wear your green, bring some friends and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in City Center at Oyster Point in Newport News. The City Center Shamrock will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. March 17 at the stage by the fountain on Town Center Drive. Enjoy performances by Faol Liath Celtic Rock Band, the Pipes and Drums of the Newport News Police, Cumascaigh School of Irish Dance, and Glasgow Kiss, a traditional Celtic music ensemble. The event will include free giveaways, children’s activities, and lawn games. Food trucks will be on site and beverage sales will benefit local charities.
